Shri Rahul Roy

Sri Rahul Roy, born to Sri Animesh Chandra Roy (Retd. Central Govt. Officer) and Smt. Kumkum Roy (Home maker), is a Judicial Officer of Tripura Judicial Service.

Obtained B.A.LL.B degree from Surendranath Law College, Kolkata, under University of Calcutta and enrolled as an Advocate in Bar Council of West Bengal in the year 2010. Joined the Service in the year 2014.

Held the posts of Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) [including ex-officio Member Secretary, Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee]; Judicial Magistrate First Class; Assistant Legislative Counsel & Under Secretary, Law Department, Govt. of Tripura; Registrar, District Judge’s Court, West Tripura Judicial District.

Promoted in Grade-II of the Service in 2020 and held the posts of Civil Judge (Sr. Div.) & Assistant Sessions Judge; Deputy Registrar, National Green Tribunal, Eastern Zonal Bench at Kolkata, West Bengal (on deputation). Held the post of Civil Judge (Sr. Div.) & Assistant Sessions Judge w.e.f. 31.01.2022 to 04.07.2024 till re-designation of the said all posts as “Civil Judge (Sr. Div.)” due to implementation of the newly enacted Criminal Laws.

Presently, posted as Civil Judge (Sr. Div.) for Dhalai Judicial District at Ambassa District Court Complex, w.e.f. 05.07.2024 as well as holding the Camp Court at Kamalpur Court Complex, Dhalai District, fortnightly, w.e.f. 31.08.2024.
